Now I have on my new hat and I'm off to shopping!
Capitalism has definitely come to China.
We went to the Jade and Pearl markets today. These are surrounded by every kind of shopping imaginable. All kind of Western influences intermingled with traditional Asian products. Not to mention the narrow way with all the street food vendors selling lots of food-on-a-stick. Most Americans might describe these things on-a-stick more as creepy-crawly than food. Oh well, there's always KFC and McDonald's.
