The White Swan Hotel has a really nice playroom for the kids. Elizabeth liked all the stuffed animals.

Lucy's is an American style diner about 100 yards from the White Swan. It's really wild having a diner with American movie posters, music and decor in China. They really know how to appeal to Westerners. The only problem is that they really don't know what Americans eat. Any of the "American Style" dishes on the menu would be more likely found on a children's menu in the States. American style fried chicken sounded good. Five pieces, the menu said. Wow! That's practically a whole chicken for $5 U.S.. Problem was, it was chicken strips. All white meat and delicious, just not what we expected. The grilled cheese comes with the crusts cut off like you'd do for a two-year-old. We know how the Chinese don't like to waste things, so we wondered where the crusts ended up. ;)
This is the place where Elizabeth ate her first French fries.
