The Final Step

Today we completed the final step in the adoption procedure.  We went to the U.S. Consulate office to receive Elizabeth's travel visa and for the swearing in ceremony for her citizenship.  It was really very brief.  Now as soon as we cross into United States' airspace, she is an American.

In a post 9/11 world, there is no picture taking allowed at the consulate, so there are none to post here.  

We are very excited and cannot wait to return home to our family.  We have to wait around here an extra day since there were no seats available when we booked our flight.   Then comes the long plane ride home.  Home.  Can't wait!
